You’ve probably already heard that the human body is mostly made up of water, right?
It is, however, also composed of metals and minerals. The latter represents a smaller portion, but is essential for our body to function correctly.
One of these minerals, potassium, is the third most abundant in our body and when it’s levels are good in our body, it benefits our muscles, bones, nervous system, and circulatory health.
It also helps prevent diseases and regulate our metabolism, contributing to weight loss and muscle gain.
But when we don’t have enough of this mineral we may experience some unpleasant symptoms.
In today's video we’re going to show you some of the signs that your body gives you when it needs more potassium.
It’s important to note that, the symptoms of potassium deficiency are very similar to the symptoms of many other diseases, so these symptoms should not be considered alone.
In order to increase your body’s potassium levels you should eat more avocados, beets, sweet potatoes, orange juice, peanuts, oats, raisins, bananas, almonds and watermelons.
