1. Epley maneuver
If you’re experiencing vertigo, one of the first things you need to try is the Epley maneuver. Also known as the Canalith, research has shown it’s very effective for those with vertigo. You can do this maneuver at home.
2. Semont-Toupet (too-pay)maneuver
This is another handy maneuver that can help people with vertigo. It’s similar to Epley and can be done at home. The main difference with this maneuver is that you’ll need to use your neck less.
3. Brandt-Daroff exercise
This particular exercise is recommended to people with vertigo, since it’s easy to do at home and does not require any supervision. But one thing to remember is that the Brandt-Daroff exercise causes dizziness for a short time, so you should only do it when you’re in a safe place, and you won’t be driving any time soon.
4. Ginkgo (gink-goh) biloba (bill-oh-ba)
Named after a tree in China, ginkgo biloba is known to have the same effects for vertigo as any prescription drugs used in treatment for the condition.
